Question – Are there any REAL last minute travel web sites ?Talk about LAST MINUTE (LOL) – we were thinking of just going for 3-4 days to Vegas over thanksgiving holiday – I realize everything is pretty well booked up (flights and alot of hotels) – BUT – does anyone know of a REAL valid last-minute travel web site that truly finds unused airline seats and unbooked hotel rooms ? I have fiddled with Travelocity and some others which have "last minute deals" but honestly I am getting the SAME prices for flights/hotels as I did when I looked at the trip costs several weeks ago – so I don't see any discounts as they advertise 70% off and such.
Any suggestions on search engines for last minute travel ? Thank you !!

Any downtown hotel would suffice. Downtown is very "walkable" and with the Ride Free Zone during the day on the Metro buses, you'll never be too far from anything. My recommendation would be to stay on the waterfront – the Edgewater perhaps.

Maybe Pioneer Square or somewhere by the Space Needle. I guess it depends on if you want to see the fireworks or just want to hang out with a lot of other crazy drunk folks in Pioneer Square.

CN Tower, Jays game at the Sky Dome, Shop at Eaton Centre, Visit Kensington Market & China Town, Much Music, Speakers Corner, Tons of museums, plays, & musicals to see.
Right now the Toronto International Film Festival is going on.
There are tons of amazing places to eat. My favourite is Marche. Its located in BCE place.
Not sure of any hotels. I lived there so I never needed to stay in one.

Nothing downtown is cheap…but I know of this place right outside of Chicago that have very nice jacuzzis suites {newly built} for very cheap. They have 2 different style rooms also, one has a smaller hot-tub and the other has a bigger hot-tub with a fire place. Both are very reasonable and a lot cheaper during the week days. {I prefer the fireplace rooms with the bigger hot-tub personally.}

Downtown you'll find a combination of major chains and old style hotels. The major chain hotels include the Westin City Center and the Sheraton Dallas Hotel, both are Starwood hotels. The Hotel Indigo used to be the Aristocrat Hotel. Conrad Hilton, before the Hilton chain existed, built it in 1925. It has gone through a series of owners since that time and is now an Intercontinental hotel. The Adolphus Hotel was built by beer baron Adolphus Busch in 1912. The hotel is old world in style and rather ornate. It is operated by the Noble House Hotels. The Magnolia Hotel is best known for Pegasus – the Flying Red Horse, which tops the hotel. The horse is lit up at night. The horse is a remnant of the Magnolia Petroleum Company, which built the building as its headquarters in 1922. It as turned into a 330-room hotel in 1997.
May I also suggest some place close near downtown like the West End Historic District and Uptown.

the W hotel , it is a wonderful hotel and beautiful hotel. they have two locations its very nice and comfy with great looking rooms. There is the one on lake shore drive and then the one that they call the city center.

I've stayed at The Westin, Sheraton, and W hotels in Seattle. The Sheraton and the Westin are great location wise and the W is closer to Pike's Place, but on a very very busy street.
The Fairmont Olympic and Grand Hyatt are in great spots, also.
The Kimpton hotels, it's Monaco and another one that I can't think of, are closer to Pike's Place as well.
